Background. The Danes revisit St Tudy is a new event on the Havulv calendar. It takes place in the village of St Tudy, the location of one of the five Anglo-Dane Hogback Grave Marker Stones in Cornwall. The stone is located in the Kirke and will be a focal point for one of the activities. We will be providing an LHE set up showcasing authentic cooking, wood working, tools display, clothing display and weapons. We will also be doing a short fighting display. 2. Aim. The aim of this Planning Doc is to support detailed planning for the preparation, projection and execution of the Danes Revisit St Tudy Show 2026. 3. Threats. a. Climate. The Cornish weather in August is notoriously changeable and attendees must be prepared to operate in conditions that are hot and sunny or torrential rain with gale force winds. b. Road Conditions. This time of year, the roads are busy and full of tourists. Both Friday and Saturday are change over days. This event will be taking place during the school holidays so expect traffic. Friendly Forces 4. 2UP. https://sttudyhistorygroup.co.uk/ The Society undertakes projects of a wide variety. The aim of many of these is to add to the understanding of the history the village and parish of St Tudy, and to share this with village residents through social events. The St Tudy Historical Society meets in the Village Hall at 7:30pm on the last Monday of each month (except August and December) at which non-members are very welcome to join us. We always have a speaker, usually a guest but sometimes a member of the group, in the hope that everyone will find something of interest in our programme. 5. 1UP.
