As part of the National Heritage Open Days weekend, Hertford Town Council invites you to annual Heritage Day at Hertford Castle on Sunday 20th September. From 12-4pm, step back in time and explore the Castle lawn, transformed to include a small settlement of interactive medieval encampments. Plus! Enjoy a full programme of activities and entertainment including storytelling, archery and Viking battle re-enactments. Surrounding the performance arena, you will find food and drink, craft and charity stalls, making it a fun-filled day for all the family. Hertford Castle will be also open for visitors to explore for free of charge, offering a chance to discover its rich history.
