Erlestoke and Coulston Cricket Club, The Walled Garden, High Street, Erlestoke, Devizes, Wiltshire Wiltshire SN10 5TX There is no sign off the main road, but the track is situated next to the old pub. Follow it up about 100m and it opens up onto the ground. There is quite a sharp bend along the track. 7th November 2026 Arrive 2.30 to set up. Public from 4pm – 8pm (4 hours approx.) Bonfire, Fireworks, BBQ, Bar, Axe Throwing, Real Life Anglo-Saxon Village on publicity. We will set up under the awning and be involved in showing the weapons, helmets, shields etc. to the public with the usual photo opportunities for adults and children. We will also have craft displays and demonstrations alongside the weapons. This for approx. 2 hours. The bonfire will be lit around 6pm with the fireworks following shortly afterwards – all this will be dependent on public arrival i.e. may be brought forward or delayed slightly due to how many folks are still arriving. During the evening, some warriors will parade through the crowd (weapons sheathed) shouting for Alfred. It would be amazing to have some others as Vikings asking where the Saxons are etc. No combat will be possible this year, or archery, but the organisers are keen for us to experience the event so that we might expand our involvement next year. Please bring any food/drink required. There will be a BBQ onsite (price is extra to involvement), and members should bring authentic plates, cups etc. if they wish to partake of the BBQ whilst the fireworks show is on (we will be involved with the public at otherwise).
