A 200 acre private estate, which is split in half by a sandstone ridge (Scaur) we are a grade 2, historic park and garden. Whilst there are wooded areas there are also large areas of park land. On the estate, we have approximately 100 wild deer which are enclosed by a 6ft fence.
There is lots of open space for combat training/archery. The site also has ample wooded areas.
Fires are allowed in raise fire boxes only.
There is a small building, The Lodge, which we have access to for crafts, electricity etc. There will be additional small marquees provided.
Water supply is from stand pipes from mains supply, around the lower half of park.
There is ample car parking, although restrictions to areas where cars may be parked will be made if the weather is wet. This is to avoid damage to the ground.
Alcohol smoking and vaping are allowed on site.
Dogs are allowed on site, on leads. There are sheep on site.
Facilities
There are no indoor bunk spaces.
The park is accessible for caravans, camper vans and other larger vehicles.
There are some indoor kitchen facilities, but member should not rely on access to these for all their cooking.
There are no brick toilets. We will be hiring portable toilets.
there is no onsite catering. There is no wood supplied. If you want to have evening fires or will need wood for craft activities, please be sure to bring your own wood.
Rubbish removal provided.
Electricity is accessible at The Lodge and by the poolside in the park.
