Greg is playing Alfred and Andy will play Guthrum. This is a Blue Plaque unveiling to commemorate Alfred the Great's Hunting Lodge at Chippenham. Starts 4pm with meeting the public to talk and have photos. Continues with the unveiling 6.45pm-7pm with some verbal exchange between Alfred and Guthrum, more photos and local press. This will be followed by The Civic Society's annual lecture "The Life and Times of Alfred The Great" delivered by Mike stone in St. Andrew's Church(opposite the museum). There is parking from before 4pm behind the museum. At the moment the museum are happy for a mix or Saxon and Viking folk to mill around (update will be made should this change).
