We are pleased to be working with Flag Fen for the fourth year running. We will be putting on combat displays and living history through out the day. There will also be a series of timed activities. All the Vikings activities will be set in the wonderful surroundings of the Bronze Age landscape of Flag Fen.

This year at the Multi Period Event the Vikings will play a more prominent role and we will celebrate the heritage and influence of The Vikings in Scotland and learn that it continues even now. Hear about the different stages from raiding to conquest, from settlement and integration and ask did they really go away?

Find out – about their weapons and how they were made, their fighting style……… clothing, cooking, religion, boats, money and lots more…………………And most importantly discover why they were at Dumbarton Rock!

Hammer Horde will perform at the fifth Old Goats Grumble public festival on Saturday 15th June. The event is hosted by the League of Zeal MCC to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Peterborough Living History Fayre, Peterborough Cathedral

The Peterborough LHF continues to go from strength to strength. This will be our 11th appearance at the event. It is a multi period event with a variety of displays reflecting the long history of Peterborough and the surrounding areas. There are a series of displays, scheduled throughout the day, around the cathedral and in the market square. The Vikings will be creating a living history encampment and taking part in arena displays.

The Milton Keynes Festival of History is back to celebrate 2000 years of history and the Viking warriors will be invading. Can the Saxons rally round and fight off the marauding hordes? Why not come along and find out. You will be able to walk amongst the Living History encampments, see traditional crafts and talk to the warriors, traders and camp followers.
